All business can take advantage of the federal Work Opportunity Tax Credit program. However, certain industries and businesses do have the potential to reap a greater benefit from the program than others. Businesses in the service, hospitality and home health care industries or others that see a large amount of turnover or hire a large number of hourly workers will see a greater benefit from the program than businesses with little turnover and few employees. Above all others, this program does require a dedicated effort and continued participation on the part of the employer in order to assure its success.
